The journey

The deputy organiser

Every group needs a deputy before it starts. The deputy takes the decisions the organiser must not take about their own payments, gives the second approval for big changes, and steps in if the organiser goes quiet.

  1. Accept the role

The organiser names you. You accept in the app, and the group can start.

In the app: Accept being deputy.

  2. Approve an order set by hand

A payout order the organiser sets by hand counts only once you approve it. A random draw, or members choosing their own slots, needs nobody's approval.

    In the app: Approve.

  3. Decide a payment made to the organiser

When the organiser is the round's recipient and a payment to them is not confirmed in time, it comes to you, not to them. Nobody decides a payment made to themselves.

In the app: Confirm, or Mark disputed.

  4. Approve or decline the big changes

Cancelling the group, redrawing the turns still to come, setting them by hand, or swapping two members' turns: one leader asks, the other approves. You can withdraw a request you made.

In the app: Approve, or Decline.

  5. Step in

If the organiser leaves, you lead the group and name a new deputy. If both of you go quiet, members can vote in a new organiser.

In the app: Choose a new organiser.

Your decisions are entries in the record, with your name and the time, for everyone to see.
