The journey
A member
A member joins by invitation or by code, pays the recipient directly each round, marks it, and reads the same record as everyone else. Members pay Rotaro nothing.
Open the invitation or enter the code
A link opens the group straight away. A code (ROTA-4K7M) sends a request the organiser approves.
In the app: Join a group.
Create your account
Phone number or email, a six-digit code, your name, and the terms.
In the app: Create an account.
Read and accept the rules
The amount, the rhythm, the number of rounds, what happens to a missed payment, whether early slots need a guarantor, and what happens if someone leaves. You accept before you are in.
In the app: Accept the rules.
Choose a guarantor if your slot needs one
If you have one of the first payout slots and the group asks for it, pick a member who stands behind your payments. You can change your mind until the group starts.
In the app: Your guarantor.
Pay, then say so
Pay that round's recipient directly, by bank transfer, then tap "I have paid". It shows as waiting until the recipient confirms. Paid for your husband, wife, or a friend? Choose "I paid for someone else": both names go on the record.
In the app: I have paid.
Reminders before each due date
By push, email or text, the way you chose, a few days before. A payment not confirmed by the due date shows as late to everyone.
In the app: Notifications.
Raise a dispute if you disagree
From the payment itself, with a photo or document as evidence. The organiser records the outcome, and both of you see it.
In the app: Dispute this payment.
Agree or refuse a change
A change to the amount, currency or rhythm happens only when every member agrees. You see who has agreed, who has refused and who has not answered.
In the app: Agree, or Refuse.
Leave
Before the group starts, leave freely and your slot opens. After it starts, leaving follows the group's rule, and the organiser or deputy can arrange a replacement.
In the app: Leave the group.
You never pay Rotaro, and nobody pays more than their contribution. Your data is kept in your own country.
